Global Microsoft Meltdown Tied to Bad Crowdstrike Update

 On July 19, 2024, a global outage of Microsoft services attributed to a malicious update by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike caused widespread disruption. This unprecedented IT outage affected Microsoft's networking and cloud computing services, resulting in significant operational issues across multiple sectors. The root cause was identified as a faulty kernel driver for CrudeStrike, which resulted in a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) on multiple systems.
